SCATS-SIM Interface – A case study from Sydney
A presentation on the work to develop an interface between SCATS and VISSIM, followed by a practical example that GTA Consultants are currently undertaking for the NSW RTA. The work is part of the NSW Pinch Point Congestion program and the modelling is used to assess the impacts of various treatments within a congested network, using a SCATS / Paramics interface.
Assessing major projects using microsimulation
This presentation will show a practical application of microsimulation on a major project, the West Gate Freeway Upgrade. Traffic modelling, including microsimulation of the freeway and adjacent arterial network using VISSIM, played a vital role in the development of innovative solutions and selection of the final design.
